Water is life line.
Water is of fixed quantum on the Earth since the time immemorial.
Water can neither be created, nor destroyed, it will always remain constant on the Earth.
Water, usable for life sustainability is only 2.5% of the total quantum on the Earth.
Water usage pattern of that 2.5% has rapidly changed in the last several decades between industrial use, agricultural use and for animals and human consumption.
Water, from rains, melting ice and underground is increasingly becoming erratic and disproportional to human population.
Water is becoming polluted, and scarce in many parts of the World.
Water may perhaps become the cause for the next World war, if and when fought.
So, water as a subject for Diva's challenge no. 181 is very interesting. And here is my response
Slowly, but surely.
Years ago, I recall, on a campus in sylvan environs, I was strolling around and enjoying the early morning cool breeze when suddenly I held back my lifted right foot from touching the ground lest it would have crushed a snail which had just climbed up the edge of the stone slab on the walking path. I became very mindful there on and kept my eyes focused on the path. I found all kinds of creatures busy moving about for meeting their needs. It was a very educative walk.
As I retraced my path on the return, I reached the same stone slab after nearly half an hour, and I found the snail yet to reach the other end of the 2 feet wide stone! By the edge of the stone, on the other hand, I found a rapidly moving line of hundreds of ants carrying on each other's backs some white stuff. They were quick, and seemed to be having a mission and direction.
A question emerged in my mind, 'why this snail is not moving fast enough?'.. and I heard a passing ant making a remark, ' because the snail has a huge load on its back all the time. How can he move fast?'..
Don't we find a lot of people accumulating, and carrying huge burdens on their minds/bodies, and they too visibly slow down in their lives ? Think about it.
Bijou. He took several years to agree to come out in public! I had seen some previews of him in August, 2012, when I was privileged enough to stay with Rick and Maria at their home for a few days soon after the CZT 9 seminar was over. But I am glad now that Bijou has finally been exposed to the world. Welcome, Bijou. Antz are only curious and puzzled. They will get back to their work quickly, and you will enjoy a ride all over the world!
Here are my two depictions of the Scene II as I respond to Diva's challenge no. 179. I do not have Bijou tiles, so I created 2"x 2" tiles..
